OUR SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
The Urban Equestrian Academy aims to open doors that have not been visibly present before in the Equestrian World.
Our services are particularly specialist and beneficial to inner-city children, faith groups, specialist organisations and specific communities such as those classed as BAME.
Our ethos is focused on widening participation of those with the least experience in the Equestrian world and also individuals/ communities with the least access to it.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
As a social enterprise T.U.E.A relies entirely on community support and the generosity of donations from individuals, businesses, corporate organisations, grant giving trusts and foundations. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how you can support us and our vision.
The UK’s equestrian industry is often seen as something of a privilege for those who can afford to own equines, work with them or cover the cost engaging with them as a recreational activity. It has also been stereotyped as an ‘elitist’ activity, something only the rich or middle – class can engage in. We aim to change this cultura opinion / divide starting here in the UK. Our participtaion can provide such added value and a much more diverse audience.
We have a number of services, projects and activities we intend to launch through our social enterprise for example ‘Azeezah’s Junior Pony Club’ more commonly known as ‘A.J.P.C’ where we hope to unearth a ‘New Generation of Equestrian Superstar’ and ‘Ride and Reggae’ our corporate team building package which combines ‘Riding, Horse – Care and Stable Management’ with ‘Caribbean Cuisine and Live Reggae Music’ from a prestigious host venue’.
It’s important to note that we are an academy, which whilst specialising in Equestrian Services, (just as a school) we aim to also offer, other services that aid self – development and provide education. Though we have not yet got our own land base, this is ultimately our ultimate goal so we can cater to our communities and implement our ethos with restriction.
Through formal and informal learning our specialist Equestrian Academy will help children and teens in many specific areas of their academic lives. We aim to work closely with schools to help enhance pupil wellbeing and highlight undiscovered core strengths. In addition The Urban Equestrian Academy will provide specialist structured programmes which aid literacy and numeracy skills. Personal development is key to everything we do and we are establishing a process to individually map and monitor each child / teens development.
